They can cause problems in the digestive system such as diarrhoea, severe abdominal pain or gastrointestinal infections.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"64\" height=\"64\" src=\"https:\/\/lghealthisystems.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/osmosis-inversa-domestica-pesticida.png\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n<h2>Pesticides in water<\/h2>\n<p>Pesticides are used to kill, repel or regulate the growth of pests, but the problem is that through misuse, they end up in our water systems.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"64\" height=\"64\" src=\"https:\/\/lghealthisystems.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/osmosis-inversa-domestica-arsenico.png\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n<h2>Arsenic in water<\/h2>\n<p>A study by the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) claims that the consumption of inorganic arsenic has a cumulative effect on our bodies and could lead to long-term diseases.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"64\" height=\"64\" src=\"https:\/\/lghealthisystems.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/osmosis-inversa-domestica-nuez.png\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n<h2>Heavy metals in water<\/h2>\n<p>Copper, lead, zinc, cadmium, among others, are heavy metals present in drinking water.<\/br>Prolonged consumption of water contaminated by these metals can lead to gastrointestinal, kidney, bone and cardiovascular system problems.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"64\" height=\"64\" src=\"https:\/\/lghealthisystems.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/osmosis-inversa-domestica-cianuro.png\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n<h2>Cyanide in water<\/h2>\n<p>According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cyanide prevents oxygen from reaching other cells in the body, thus impeding the process of cellular respiration.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"64\" height=\"64\" src=\"https:\/\/lghealthisystems.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/osmosis-inversa-domestica-fluor.png\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n<h2>Fluoride in water<\/h2>\n<p>According to the recommendations of the American Diabetes Association (ADA), through a study carried out by the Spanish Government, water containing high levels of fluoride should not be used for daily consumption by infants and children under 8 years of age.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"64\" height=\"64\" src=\"https:\/\/lghealthisystems.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/osmosis-inversa-domestica-nitrato.png\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n<h2>Nitrates in water<\/h2>\n<p>According to Greenpeace, the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge states that 30% of groundwater monitoring stations and 50% of surface waters are of sub-optimal quality due to nitrate contamination causing methaemoglobinaemia in infants and in higher concentrations, asphyxia and gastric problems.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"64\" height=\"64\" src=\"https:\/\/lghealthisystems.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/osmosis-inversa-domestica-cloro.png\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n<h2>Chlorine in water<\/h2>\n<p>Chlorine, present in water, can form chlorination by-products that have been associated with an increase in various diseases.<\/br> This depends mainly on the amount of chlorine used. In addition, it has been shown that high levels of chlorine in water can alter its odour and taste.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"64\" height=\"64\" src=\"https:\/\/lghealthisystems.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/osmosis-inversa-domestica-cloroformo-2.png\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n<h2>Chloroform in water<\/h2>\n<p>The Spanish Government&#8217;s Registro Estatal de Emisiones y Fuentes Contaminantes and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry by the CDC state that exposure to large amounts of this substance can affect the central nervous system, liver and kidneys.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"64\" height=\"64\" src=\"https:\/\/lghealthisystems.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/osmosis-inversa-domestica-aluminio.png\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n<h2>Aluminium in water<\/h2>\n<p>Aluminium is considered a non-toxic element.
